“The choice should not be between coal and brownouts. Our leaders have a responsibility to secure reliable power while reducing the vulnerabilities and harms built into the present system. We can build an energy future that serves our people without sacrificing the poor, our workers, or our common home. For Negros, pursuing that future is an environmental duty and a moral responsibility,” ayon sa mensaheng pinadala ni Bishop Alminaza sa Radyo Veritas.

“This is integral ecology: care for creation belongs together with care for people. The energy transition must protect workers and poor families, respect the rights and voices of affected communities, and ensure that local people share in the benefits. A just transition is measured by whether it improves people’s lives while safeguarding our common home,” bahagi pa ng mensahe ni Bishop Alminaza.
