Gospel Reading for May 07, 2026 – John 15: 9-11
ONE
Jesus said to his disciples: “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
“I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete.”

The Father and the Son are INSEPARABLE. They are ONE, and the bond of love between them is PERFECT and UNBREAKABLE. It is with this very same love that Jesus loves us. His love for us is so deep and so steadfast, and the way for us to remain in his love is simple and certain: to keep his commandments.
Jesus’ revelation about how we may experience complete joy is truly a great blessing for all who sincerely seek genuine happiness in life. Sadly, many search for joy in the wrong places—in worldly pleasures and passing things that can never truly satisfy the human heart.
True joy is found only when we remain in the love of God.
Lord Jesus, we desire to remain always in your love!
