Nakikiisa ang sambayanang Filipino sa pagpanaw ng Reyna ng Britanya na si Queen Elizabeth II sa edad na 96.
Ayon kay President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., kilala si Queen Elizabeth sa debosyon ng paglilingkod sa kanyang nasasakupan.
“It is with profound sadness that we receive the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in Balmoral Castle yesterday evening,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa kanyang Facebook account.
“She exemplified to the world a true monarch’s great dignity, commitment to duty, and devotion to all those in her realm,” ayon pa sa Pangulo.
Ayon naman kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, ang namayapang Reyna ay naging inspirasyon ng bawat henerasyon kanyang serbisyo publiko sa iba’t ibang panig ng daigdig.
“We mourn the loss of a great world leader who served as an inspiration to many generations of public servants in all parts of the globe. We will remember her as a gentle, yet solid rock of stability who exhibited grace and decency in performing her duty in times of crisis,” ayon naman sa pahayag ni Romualdez.
Una na ring nagpaabot ng pakikiramay ang Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) sa payao ni Queen Elizabeth II na kilala ring may mataas na pagpapahalaga sa pananampalataya.
