Kinilala ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines ang mahalagang ambag ng Association of Major Religious Superiors in the Philippines (AMRSP) sa new evangelization ng simbahang katolika.
Ayon kay CBCP President Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles, malaki ang papel na ginagampanan ng mga consecrated men and women sa patuloy na paghabi ng pananampalatayang Kristiyano kung gaano ito kasigla at kayabong sa kasalukuyang panahon.
Ibinahagi ng Arsobispo na ang buhay at misyon ng mga nagtalaga ng kanilang sariling buhay para sa pagpapari, pagmamadre at buhay konsakrato ang higit na nagbibigay kulay sa pananampalatayang Kristiyano sa pagsasabuhay ng kanilang bokasyon kasabay ng pagpapalaganap ng Salita ng Diyos. Ipinaliwanag ni Archbishop Valles na pa man naitatag ang AMRSP ay marami ng mga consecrated men and women ang nagsilbing katuwang ng Simbahan sa pagpapalaganap ng ebanghelyo at ng pananampalatayang Kristiyano na dumating sa Pilipinas 500-taon na ang nakakalipas.
“We cannot picture the image of a beautiful and exquisite tapestry of the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines without the visible thread of the gift of consecrated life in mission woven into the tapestry. Without exaggeration, without that thread of the life of consecrated men and women the tapestry will be very lacking. But I must add this is not only true in the past 50 years or in the past 65 years, we know that the beautiful thread of the mission and sacrifice done by consecrated men and women has been there in the very first years of the 500 years that we are celebrating today.” pahayag ni Archbishop Valles.
Bukod sa pakikibahagi sa ika-50 anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag ng AMRSP ay nagpaabot rin ng taus-pusong pasasalamat si Archbishop Valles sa institusyon kasama ng panalangin na higit pang lumawak at dumami ang mabigyan ng inspirasyon ng AMRSP na magsilbi bilang katuwang ng Simbahang Katolika sa pagpapaganap ng Mabuting Salita ng Diyos.

Batay sa 2021 Catholic Directory, sa 120-consecrated men communities sa Pilipinas 81 sa mga ito ang kasapi ng AMRSP habang sa 333 women communities of consecrated life na nasa bansa 269 sa mga ito ang kasapi ng AMRSP. Sa kabuuang mayroong kasapi ang AMRSP na 5,034 consecrated men at 12,311 consecrated women sa buong Pilipinas.
