Hinimok ng Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines-National Capital Region (CEAP-NCR) ang mga mag-aaral na magpaabot ng mensahe ng pagsuporta sa mga frontliners sa gitna ng pandemic na Coronavirus Disease 2019.
Ayon kay Rev. Fr. Nolan Que, Regional Trustee ng CEAP-NCR at School Director ng Clusters 5 and 6 ng Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila Educational System (RCAM ES) ang naturang hakbang ay hindi lamang isang pagpapahayag ng suporta kundi magsilbing aral para sa mga kabataan sa pagsasakripisyo ng mga frontliner tulad ng ginawang pagpapakasakit ni Hesus para sa sanlibutan.
Pagbabahagi ng Pari, ang malikhaing paraan ng pagpapahayag ng suporta ng mga kabataan para sa mga medical frontliners ay isa ring paraan upang maturuan silang tumulong sa kapwa sa simpleng pamamaraan.
“The letters we asked you to send to the doctors, nurses, and COVID-19 patients is our way for us, the Church, to gather as one body and seek God’s intercession to heal our infected brothers and sisters while strengthening the resolve of our medical personnel to treat them. This is the education we are teaching you: that when all of us come together as the Church, we commemorate the deeds that God has performed for us to persuade Him to repeat them in our day—to hear our cries and to heal our land.” pahayag ni Fr. Que.
Paliwanag pa ni Fr. Que, isa rin itong pamamaraan upang makapagpaabot ng dalisay na panalangin sa Panginoon upang gabayan ang mga medical frontliners sa kanilang pagtugon sa pangangailangang medikal ng mga may sakit dulot ng COVID-19.
“When you sent those letters, you were not merely complying to our request. It was your way of taking care of other members of the Church. You felt their pain and suffering but limited by our new reality, you sent the letters hoping these will alleviate their suffering.” Dagdag pa ni Fr. Que.
Ikinatuwa naman ni Fr. Que ang positibong tugon ng mga alumni doctors at nurses na nakatanggap ng liham ng pagsuporta ng mga mag-aaral para sa lahat ng mga frontliners kabilang na ang police, janitors, supermarket personnel at local government officials.
Ayon sa Pari, isa rin itong magandang aral para sa mga estudyante na hindi lamang nakatutok sa mga aralin o asignatura sa halip ay nakabatay sa tunay na pagsasabuhay sa mga turo ng Panginoon.
“I sent some of your letters to our alumni doctors and nurses and their responses were heartwarming. I hope you also take time to send your letters to the police, janitors, supermarket personnel, and local government officials who continue to safeguard us. I am proud and overwhelmed how you showed to all that the education you gained is not only for academic excellence but one that stems from the heart.” Ayon pa kay Fr. Que.
