Ang Mabuting Balita, 18 Oktubre 2023 – Lucas 10: 1-9

KAPANGYARIHAN

Noong panahong iyon, ang Panginoon ay humirang ng pitumpu’t dalawa. Pinauna niya sila nang dala-dalawa sa bawat bayan at pook na patutunguhan niya. Sinabi niya sa kanila, “Sagana ang aanihin, ngunit kakaunti ang mga manggagawa. Idalangin ninyo sa may-ari na magpadala siya ng mga manggagawa sa kanyang bukirin. Humayo kayo! Sinusugo ko kayong parang mga kordero sa gitna ng mga asong-gubat. Huwag kayong magdala ng lukbutan, supot, o panyapak. Huwag na kayong titigil sa daan upang makipagbatian kaninuman. Pagpasok ninyo sa alinmang bahay, sabihin muna ninyo, ‘Maghari nawa ang kapayapaan sa bahay na ito!’ Kung maibigin sa kapayapaan ang nakatira roon, sasakanila ang kapayapaan; ngunit kung hindi, hindi sila magkakamit nito. Manatili kayo sa bahay na inyong tinutuluyan; kanin ninyo at inumin ang anumang idulot sa inyo – sapagkat ang manggagawa ay may karapatang tumanggap ng kanyang upa. Huwag kayong magpapalipat-lipat ng bahay. Kapag tinanggap kayo sa alinmang bayan, kanin ninyo ang anumang ihain sa inyo; pagalingin ninyo ang mga maysakit doon at sabihin sa bayan, ‘Nalalapit na ang paghahari ng Diyos sa inyo.’”

Ang gawaing pagliligtas ni Kristo ay hindi limitado lamang sa kanyang 12 apostoles. Sa pamamagitan ng ating Binyag, tayong mga Kristiyano ay tinatawag din maging mga manggagawa sa kanyang bukirin, tulad ng pagsugo niya sa pitumpu’t dalawa. Si San Lucas, ebanghelista, kung kaninong kapistahang ipinagdiriwang ng Simbahan sa araw na ito, ay hindi kabilang sa mga nakapisan ni Jesus, ngunit sinulat niya ang isa sa apat na ebanghelyo sa tulong ni San Pablo, na nakilala si Jesus sa isang nakasisilaw na pangyayari at mula sa pagiging taga-usig ng mga Kristiyano ay naging kampeon ng Kristiyanong Pananampalataya. Tinuon nilang dalawa ang pagiging manggagawa sa bukirin ng Panginoon, sa mga hentil/pagano na hindi rin nagkaroon ng pagkakataong makilala si Jesus ng personal. Ganito ang KAPANGYARIHAN na ibinibigay ng Espiritu Santo sa mga taos-pusong nagpapalaganap ng pagmamahal at kapayapaan ng Diyos sa pangalan ni Jesus. Napakapalad natin kung kinikilala natin at isinasagawa ang ating papel sa pagpapalaganap ng Kaharian ng Diyos dito sa lupa para ng sa langit!

Panginoong Jesus, ipadala mo sa amin ang iyong Espiritu upang walang humpay naming ipalaganap ang Kaharian ng Diyos saan man kami pumaroon!
