Isinulong ng Stella Maris Philippines ang higit na pagpapabuti sa kapakanan ng mga Filipino Seafarers at mandaragat sa buong mundo.
Ito ang tiniyak ng Stella Maris Philippines bilang
pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng International Day of the Seafarer ngayong June 25.
Ibinahagi ni Stella Maris Philippines CBCP-Bishop Promoter Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos ang pagpupunyagi ng simbahan upang higit na maisabuhay ang temang ‘My Harassment-Free Ship’ para sa karapatan at kapakan ng mga mandaragat.
Inihayag ng Obispo na kinikilala ng simbahan ang misyon bilang mandaragat, higit na ng mga Filipino Seafarers na bukod sa kanilang trabaho ay pinapalaganap din ang pananampalataya at higit na pagkakaisa upang mapatibay ang pagkakapatiran.
“Warm greetings of peace and solidarity to all our seafarers and their families across the globe. Today, 25 June, as the international community honors the Day of the Seafarer, we offer our sincere gratitude for your tireless work and courageous presence upon the seas. You are not only vital to global trade and travel—you are missionaries of compassion, witnesses to resilience, and ambassadors of peace, This year’s campaign, “My Harassment-Free Ship,” speaks powerfully to the dignity of every person aboard a vessel. As your bishop promoter for Stella Maris–Philippines, I firmly echo this call: that no place, whether land or sea, should harbor a culture of fear or discrimination. A ship should be a sanctuary of respect, not only for safety, but for the soul,” ayon sa ipinadalang mensahen ni Bishop Santos sa Radyo Veritas.
Apela ni Bishop Santos sa mga employers, pamahalaan, mandaragat at bawat isang kabilang sa Seafaring Sector ang paggalang sa mga barko bilang sagradong lugar kung saan bukod sa pananampalataya ay higit na naisusulong ang pagkakapatiran, pagkakaisa, paggalang sa dignidad ng buhay at katarungan sa paglalayag.
Patuloy na mensahe ni Bishop Santos ang pananalangin at pag-aalay ng misa para sa kapakanan ng mga mandaragat.

And to all maritime institutions: continue to build environments that reflect justice and genuine concern for those at sea. As a Church, we stand with you. Through Stella Maris, our global network of maritime ministry, we remain committed to supporting you through chaplaincies, pastoral care, spiritual nourishment, and a compassionate presence—wherever the waves may take you. May Mary, Star of the Sea, guide you always. May your ship be filled not only with cargo, but with kindness. And may your every voyage begin and end in peace.
