Soldiers of Christ Head Servant and Radio Veritas anchor Bro. Alberto “Ting” Arcadio passed away at 6:35 p.m. on December 27 at the St. Luke’s Hospital, Makati after having suffered from complications of diabetes. He was 74.
Bro. Ting Arcadio was born on June 25 1942 in Isla San Juan, Maypajo, Caloocan City. He grew up in a poor and underprivileged family until he finished studying, got married, and had his own family.
He was first called by the Lord in a Curcillo movement in 1972. In 1982 he became a member of numerous charismatic activities. He felt a deeper calling from God to be the instrument of the salvation of many souls and to bring them back to our savior Lord Jesus Christ after attending the Day Catholic Life and the Spirit Seminar in Malolos, Bulacan.
Responding from this Divine calling, in 1986 he established the Soldiers of Christ Healing Ministry, Incorporated which focuses mainly on spiritual and physical healing, evangelization through activities (Christ on the Block), programs and services that respond to the needs of the faithful.
Inspired by a public school teacher who decided to quit her 10 year profession to be a full time member and servant in the community, Bro. Ting left his highly profitable occupation and decided to be a full-time worker and servant of the Lord.
Bro. Ting joined Radio Veritas in 2004. Before his death, was the main anchor of the religious program, “Healing on the air”, airing every Tuesday, from 8:00pm to 9:00pm at Radio Veritas846. The program aims to which aims to propagate the Word of God in different places and keep giving welfare and healing from God.
The wake will be held at the Arcadio’s Residence at Sto. Cristo, Pulilan, Bulacan. His body will be laid to rest at the Eternal Garden, Balintawak on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
