Iginiit ng Kanyang Kabanalan Francisco ang kahalagahan ng kanyang pagbisita sa Kazakhstan upang isabuhay ang pakikipagkapwa tungo sa pagbubuklod ng pamayanan.
Ito ang bahagi ng mensahe ng Santo Papa sa pagdating sa Kazakhstan upang dumalo sa 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
Paliwanag ni Pope Francis malaki ang tungkulin ng mga lider ng ibat ibang pananampalataya upang makamit ang kapayapaan ng buong daigdig.
“I have come here to emphasize the importance and the urgency of this aspect of encounter, to which the religions are called especially to contribute…Healthy secularity, one that acknowledges the important and indispensable role of religion and resists the forms of extremism that disfigure it, represents an essential condition for the equal treatment of each citizen while fostering a sense of loyalty to the country on the part of all its ethnic, linguistic, cultural and religious groups,” bahagi ng mensahe ni Pope Francis.
Binigyang diin ng santo papa na ang religious freedom ay mabisang paraan sa pagkakaisa at civil coexistence.
Lalahok si Pope Francis sa pagtitipon ng mga religious leaders sa Nur-Sultan na gaganapin sa September 14 hanggang 15 at nakatakdang magdiwang ng banal na misa para sa isang porsyentong katoliko ng Kazakhstan.
“I have come here as a pilgrim of peace, seeking dialogue and unity. Our world urgently needs peace: it needs to recover harmony,” giit ng Santo Papa.
Tema ng pagtitipon ngayon taon ang “The Role of Leaders of World and Traditional Faiths in the Socio-Spiritual Development of Humanity after the Pandemic”.
Taong 2003 nang ilunsad ni Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev ang unang Congress na inspirasyon ng 1986 Day of Prayer for Peace ni Pope St. John Paul II na ginanap sa Assisi Italy.
Layunin ng nasabing pagtitipon ng mga religious leaders na isulong ang interreligious dialogue, kapayapaan at pagkakaisa sa lipunan.
