Radio Veritas, the leading faith-based AM station in the Philippines is inviting the faithful for the public veneration of the image of young Virgin Mary from August 30 to September 7 and to take part in the Eucharistic Celebration in honor of her nativity at the Radio Veritas Chapel on September 8, 2016.
Rev. Fr. Jade Licuanan of the Archdiocese of Manila Commission on Youth and Radio Veritas’ program “Pamilya Mo, Pamilya Ko!” anchor will preside the Holy Mass from 12:15nn to 1:00pm at Radio Veritas Chapel, 2nd Floor, Veritas Tower, 162 West Avenue corner EDSA, Quezon City.
Radio Veritas President Rev. Fr. Anton C.T. Pascual said that this endeavor is part of the station’s initiative to encourage the public to foster devotion to Our Blessed Mother.
“We encourage the Catholic faithful to foster devotion to Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Mother of Church, to pray for her intercession and ask for the grace of God because she is the path towards salvation and peace,” Fr. Pascual said.
The nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated on September 8.
Veneration of Mary and Mariology was from the official declarations, Marian writings of the saints, popular devotion, and reported Marian apparitions. One of the components of the Catholic veneration of Mary is the focus on her participation in the processes of salvation and redemption.
Devotees may visit the image of La Nina Maria from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Our Lady of Veritas Chapel in Quezon City.
