Hinimok ng University of Santo Tomas ang mga mag-aaral lalu na ang incoming 1st-year students na patatagin ang pananampalataya sa pamamagitan ng ibat-ibang spiritual formation programs ng unibersidad.
Ito ang paalala ni Philippe Jose Hernandez – Director of the UST Communications Bureau sa pagdaraos ng Misa at Diskurso De Apertura bilang pagsisimula ng School Year 2023-2024 sa August 09 sa paaralan.
Ayon kay Hernandez, katulad ng inaasahang matutunan ng mga mag-aaral sa pagsisimula ng taon ng pag-aaral ay makiisa ang mga ito sa mga spiritual formation upang mapalalim ang kanilang pananampalataya at mahubog ang bawat isa tungo sa maayos na landas.
“We hope you have a good experience with us we are blessed to have you, and I hope that you’ll also feel that blessing to be with us in the family. So the Thomasian family grows every years, we have thousands of freshmen across the different levels training in the university this year and we hope they get to learn a lot, study well and be enriched not just by the academic formation by first and foremost the spiritual formation that we provide,” ayon sa panayam ng Radio Veritas kay Hernandez.
Inaasahan din ni Hernandez ang higit pang pagpapalawig ng UST sa mga adbokasiya na linangin ang susunod na henerasyon upang maging maayos at mabuting mamamayan.
Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng nalalapit na pagbubukas sa mga susunod na taon ng mga sangay ng UST sa Laguna at General Santos City.
“first we thank god for giving us this great weather that allowed us to push through right on schedule, this is an integral part of the university’a academic and spiritual life, we always begin everything with a eucharistic celebration,” ayon pa sa mensahe ni Hernandez.
