Inaanyayahan ng University of Santo Tomas ang mga Tomasino at Pilipino na suportahan ang Marian Month program ng paaralan.
Kasunod ito ng pagpapasinaya ng Marian exhibit sa UST Buenaventura Garcia Paredes Building na susundan ng pagdaraos ng Flores De Mayo at Santa Cruzan 2025.
Ayon kay UST Vice Rector for Religious Affairs Fr. Pablo T. Tiong, OP, ang Marian Exhibit at iba pang pagpaparangal sa Mahal na Birheng Maria ay nakasentro sa pagpapatibay ng pananampalataya sa Diyos at sa Panginoong Hesukristo.
Inihayag ng Pari na ang Marian devotion ay nakatuon sa pananampalataya kay Hesukristo na nag-alay ng kaniyang buhay upang mailigtas ang sanlibutan.
“Well I have expressed my message earlier, the important thing is that even in our age, sabi ko nga sa kabila ng mga technological advancements, may these efforts- we invogorate always our devotion to the Blessed Mother which by extreme nature would always and must always lead to our lives being centered in Jesus, Her Son, that is the essence of the Marian Devotion and so any event, activity and efforts like this one would hopefully always lead to a richer devotion to the Blessed Mother which in essence translate to a holiness that is Kristo-centric and that is why all devotions to the Blessed Mother leads us to Jesus Christ our Saviour,” ayon sa panayam ng Radyo Veritas kay Fr.Tiong.
Sinabi ng Pari na ang mga gawain ay bahagi din ng pagdiriwang sa buong mundo ngayong 2025 bilang Jubilee Year ng simbahan na may temang ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ kung saan sa pamamagitan ng pagbisita ng mga mananampalataya sa Marian exhibits, Jubilee Churches at church Events ay higit na mapapalalim ang kanilang pananampalataya at magsisilbing pag-asa sa kapwa.
“So I would like to really mention our Marian Exhibit within this context, the context of Jubilee Year in which we can use event such as this as a stepping stone to see the over all benefits or features of this 2025 Jubilee Year for us especially to have a pilgrimage to Jubilee Churches and many of these Jubilee Churches are also Marian Shrines,” ayon pa sa panayam ng Radyo Veritas kay Fr.Tiong.
Pinangasiwaan naman ng UST Alumni Association, UST Office of the Alumni Relations, UST Museum at UST Pax Romana ang Exhibit na may temang ‘Inang Maria: Kalakbay Tungo sa Pag-asa’ na susundan ng Flores De Mayo at Santa Cruzan sa May 08.
Tampok sa Marian Exhibit sa UST ang may 20-imahen ng Mahal na Birheng Maria na mula sa UST, Thomasian Alumni, Parokya at Mamamayan na nakikiisa sa exhibit.
