“The PEAC organized an advocacy group meeting with private educational associations, namely COCOPEA, ACSCU, CEAP, PACU, PAPSCU, UniTVET, FAPSA, and NAPSPHIL last February 12, 2026. PEAC Executive Director Rhodora Angela F. Ferrer and Atty. Joseph Noel M. Estrada, COCOPEA and PEAC Legal Counsel, led the discussion on proposed changes to Senate bills that aim to expand EGASTPE (Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education) to cover the entire basic education program. The associations resolved to align advocacy initiatives in support of a unified position on the proposed legislation,” ayon sa mensahe ng PEAC.
