Nagsisilbing simbolo ang 28th International Christian Union of Business Executives (UNIAPAC) World Congress upang mapalaganap ang kristiyanismo at mabuting pagnenegosyo tungo sa samang-samang pag-unlad.
Ito ang buod ng mensahe ni Sr.Alessandra Smerilli – Vatican Secretary of the Dicastery For Promoting Integral Human Development, isa sa mga tampok na tagapagsalita sa UNIAPAC World Congress.
Ayon sa Madre, sa kabila ng mga pagsubok sa ekonomiya at pananatili ng hindi pagkakapantay-pantay ay mahalagang manatiling mayroong mga negosyante ang nakatuon ang layunin para sa pag-unlad ng kanilang mga empleyado.
“And I think the great strength of UNIAPAC is to be a network, spread all around the world so entreprenuers and business people can reinforce one another and they can help each other to change the world and change the business because if a person is doing this alone, it won’t make a difference, UNIAPAC which is able to reach the critical mass to change the way in which we rank businesses and in order to have less inequality in this world,” ayon sa panayam ng Radio Veritas kay Sr.Smerilli.
Tiwala naman si UNIAPAC President Sigrid Marz na sa tulong ng UNIAPAC World Congress ay higit na mapapalaganap ang mga katoliko at kristiyanong katuruan upang higit na mapaunlad ang ekonomiya at matanggal na ang ibat-ibang pasakit na nararanasan ng mga manggagawa.
Ayon kay Marz, sa pamamagitan nito ay magkakaroon ng higit na paglaganap ng bagong sistema sa ekonomiya na mayroong pagkakapatiran dahil sa tulong ng UNIAPAC ay nagkakaroon ng dayalogo at palitan ng kaalaman sa pagtataguyod ng sistema na makatao, makakalikasan at makakatulong sa pag-unlad.
“I talk about this principle that ‘Work is care and Care is Work’ and the guiding principle there is to take humanity out of the labor aspect of work, that we do not necessarily work in first and since in order in the context of Genesis where it is seen as a punishment but today the vision of the church also has moved very much to work as a vocation where we practice our talents and where we develop all the talent that we have receive, if its hard work or less hard work but its really for more pressing on, who is the human being that I am going to become through my work,” ayon sa panayam ng Radio Veritas kay Marz.
Idinaos sa Pilipinas ang ika-28 UNIAPAC World congress na dinaluhan ng mga kasapi ng Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals mula sa Pilipinas at ibayong dagat.
40-mga bansa ang kabilang sa BCBP na kumakatawan sa 45-libong miyembro na pawang mga kristiyanong negosyante.
