Inilunsad ng Caritas Philippines ang Alay-Kapwa Orientation program sa Diocese of Boac upang mapalalim at higit na mapalawig ang adbokasiya nito.
Ito ay sa pangunguna ni Boac Alay Kapwa Director Father Benigno Benode katuwang ang Caritas Philippines Resource Mobilization Office.
“Diocese of Boac Alay Kapwa Director, Fr. Benigno Bonode, highlighted the significance of the orientation in his welcome address, emphasizing that many volunteers previously understood Alay Kapwa solely as a Lenten fundraising activity (“envelope”). Fr. Joseph Ian Retardo, Pastoral Director, expressed gratitude to Caritas Philippines for sending Ms. Julian, whose expertise offered beneficial insights into the essence of Alay Kapwa and strategies for strengthening the program within the diocese,” ayon sa mensahe ng Caritas Philippines.
Umaabot sa 45-servant leaders ang nakilahok sa gawain para mapalalim ang kaalaman hinggil sa kahalagahan ng Alay Kapwa.
Sa pamamagitan ito ng mga programa ng Caritas Philippines at Alay Kapwa na tinutulungan ang mga pinakanangangailangan na mapabuti ang kanilang pamumuhay higit na upang makabangon mula sa kinalugmukang kahirapan.
“Ms. Julian’s presentation underscored the importance of Alay Kapwa rooted in the identify of each one as imago dei and a Filipino sharing the Gospel message, particularly with the most vulnerable members of the community. She stressed the crucial role of servant leaders in ensuring that their actions reflect a genuine encounter with God, emphasizing that all their work is ultimately for His glory—faith in action. The orientation covered key themes including Catholic Social Teachings, Servant Leadership, Stewardship, and the 50-year journey of Alay Kapwa as a vital instrument for solidarity, empowerment, and responsive social action. The renewed understanding enlightened the participants and this inspired them to conduct a grand relaunch in 2026 for a wider diocesan assembly,” bahagi pa ng mensahe ng Caritas Philippines.
Bahagi din ito ng patuloy na pagdiriwang ng ika-50 taon anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag ng Alay Kapwa kung saan isinasabuhay ang temang “Ang Mukha ng Alay Kapwa sa Hamon ng Pagiging Katiwala” o The Face of Alay Kapwa in the Challenge of Stewardship.
