Tiniyak ng Jaro Social Action Center (JASAC) ang pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng mga Pilipino sa pagharap nang buong mundo sa krisis ng mataas na presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo.
Noong nakalipas na buwan ng Marso 2026, inilunsad ng JASAC ang “Bayanihan Alay sa Kapwa” na bahagi ng programa ng Caritas Philippines at limang beses nang namahagi ang institusyon sa mga driver na lubhang apektado ng krisis.
Bukod sa mga driver, namahagi din ng tulong ang JASAC sa mga vulnerable sector tulad ng mga senior citizens.
“This is part of Bayanihan Alay sa Kapwa initiated by Caritas Philippines in response of the recent crisis wherein social action centers all over the country are encouraged to do it locally, JASAC led by its Executive Director,Msgr. Mileton Oso was the first one to accept the call since March,” ayon sa mensaheng pinadala ng JASAC sa Radyo Veritas.
Ayon sa Caritas Philippines at JASAC, bahagi ito ng pangangalaga at pagsusulong sa dignidad at pamumuhay ng mga Pilipino higit na ngayong panahon ng krisis.
“Bayanihan Alay sa Kapwa, the program of the Social Action Network reviving the Filipino spirit of Bayanihan and enlivening care for Kapwa as a Filipino core value. Providing food and essentials to the most vulnerable sectors of the recent crisis is the 1st phase of the 3-phased initiative towards sustainable and dignified life,” ayon pa sa mensahe ng JASAC.
Hinimok na rin ng Caritas Philippines ang lahat ng Social Action Center ng iba’t-ibang diocese at archdiocese na magsagawa ng katulad na inisyatibo ng JASAC.
