In observance of the Easter season, Radio Veritas will visit the churches in Batangas in the Veritas Easter Pilgrimage on May 14, 2017 Sunday.
Veritas Easter Pilgrimage will visit different churches in the Archdiocese of Lipa including the National Shrine of Padre Pio in Santo Tomas, Batangas; Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian in Lipa City; Carmel of Our Lady Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace (Carmelite Monastery); Basilica of Saint Martin of Tours in Taal, Batangas; and Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Caysasay in Taal, Batangas.
Radio Veritas President Rev. Fr. Anton C.T. Pascual invites the public to join the pilgrimage.
“My dear brothers and sisters, join as us we celebrate the Lord’s resurrection through an Easter Pilgrimage in the beautiful churches in Batangas,” said Fr. Pascual.
The Veritas Easter Pilgrimage is part of Radio Veritas initiatives for the observance of Easter season to give the faithful an spiritual experience that will deepen their faith in God who’s resurrection marks the triumph of good over evil, sin and death.
Easter is the celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. It is celebrated on Sunday, and marks the end of Holy Week, the end of Lent, the last day of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday), and is the beginning of the Easter season of the liturgical year that lasts for seven weeks, ending with Pentecost.
Deadline of registration is on May 10, 2017 at the Radio Veritas studios at 162 West Avenue cor EDSA, Quezon City. A pilgrimage donation of Php 2,200 will be applied to all the participants and a discounted donation of Php 2, 000.00 for full pledged Kapanalig members. The pilgrimage donation is inclusive of transportation, lunch and snack as well as love offering to the chaplain and a certificate of participation.
