Kinilala ng Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) ang pagtataguyod ng Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila (RCAM) ng Ministry of Cooperative and Social Enterprise Development (MCSED).
Ayon kay CDA Chairman Joseph Encabo, ito ay dahil sa pangunahing layunin ng MCSED na matulungan ang mga mahihirap na miyembro o kawani ng mga Church Based Cooperative tungo sa pag-unlad.
“As servants of the Lord, we are called to love and serve our neighbors, especially those who are in need, I am glad that this ministry aims to do just that by helping church based cooperatives, volunteers, and the vulnerable sectors of our society to create more sustainable livelihoods, you have the chance to make a real difference in your communities and in the lives of the people around you,” ayon sa ipinadalang mensahe ni Chairman Encabo sa Radio Veritas.
Kasabay ng pagkilala ay ang kagalakang ipinahayag ni Encabo sa pagtataguyod ng RCAM ng diwa Kooperatibismo kung saa isinusulong ang pagtutulungan ng mga miyembro.
Inaasahang mabuting impluwensya ng MCSED sa mga negosyo sa hinaharap kung saan pinaiigting ang pakikiisa ng simbahan upang mapataas ang kalidad ng pamumuhay ng mga mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng mga kooperatiba.
“On this significant event, may you keep on serving your members and the Filipino community with honor and courtesy, may the ministry be a beacon of hope and an instrument of positive change for those who need it most, let us unite in upholding our collective principles of cooperativism, excellence, commitment, integrity, and teamwork,” bahagi pa ng mensahe ni Chairman Encabo.
Sa tulong ng MCSED, titipunin at pagkaisahin ang lahat ng Church based Cooperative sa Metro Manila at papalalimin ang kaalaman o kasanayan ng mga namamahala sa mga kooperatiba upang sama-samang palaguin ang ipon ng mga miyembro.
Batay sa datos ng Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) umaabot na 11-milyong Pilipino ang miyembro ng 11-libong rehistradong kooperatiba sa Pilipinas.
Sa bilang, umaabot sa 140 ang mga rehistradong Church Based at Agri-church based cooperatives.
