Ikinagagalak ng Diocese of Assisi sa Italy ang matagumpay na pilgrimage nang relic ni Saint Carlo Acutis sa Pilipinas.
Ayon kay Assisi Bishop Domenico Sorrentino, napakabuting pagkakataon ito para sa mga Pilipino at mamamayan sa iba pang bansa kung saan idinadaos ang pilgrimage upang mapalalalim ang pananampalataya ng mamamayan.
“Carlo, following in the footsteps of Saint Francis and Saint Clare, explains to us that Jesus is the only true joy, Jesus with Mary, especially in the Eucharist. Carlo is a good teacher who teaches us the path to holiness, and with Francis he forms an extraordinary team: learning from them is the secret of joy,” ayon sa mensahe ni Bishop Sorrentino na pinadala ng Diocese of Assisi, Italy sa Radyo Veritas.
Ipinaliwanag ni CBCP President Lipa Archbishop Gilbert Garcera na ang pilgrimage ay pagkakataon upang higit na makilala ang “Patron Saint of the Internet” na ini-alay ang buhay sa panginoon gamit ang makabagong teknolohiya.
“An opportunity for prayer, devotion, and encounter with the patron saint of the internet—he said—and a powerful witness to youthful holiness. May these grace-filled days inspire us to live a life of Eucharist, charity, and the love of God—just like Carlo Acutis,” ayon pa sa mensahe ni Archbishop Garcera na pinadala ng Diocese of Assisi Italy sa Radyo Veritas.
Sa Pilgrimage ng relikya ni Saint Carlo Acutis, si Msgr. Anthony Figueiredo, Director of International Affairs and Custodian of the Pericardium Relic of St. Carlo Acutis for the Diocese of Assisi, ang siyang nagdala ng relikya mula sa Italy papunta sa Pilipinas.
Nagsimula noong November 28–29 ang pilgrimage sa Arkidiyosesis ng Maynila, Diyosesis Malolos, Kalookan, at Novaliches kung saan naikot na nito ang ibat-ibang mga simbahan at dambana sa magkakaibang diyosesis.
Bukas, December 11 ay magpapatuloy ang pilgrimage sa Parish and National Shrine of St. Padre Pio sa Archdiocese of Lipa, December 12 sa Santo Domingo Church – National Shrine of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of La Naval de Manila Diocese of Cubao, December 13 sa Diocese of San Jose – Saint Joseph the Worker Cathedral Parish at Diocese of Cabanatuan – Saint Nicholas of Tolentino Parish Cathedral.
Habang sa December 14, sa huling bahagi ng pilgrimage ay bibisita ang relikya sa Santuario de San Antonio Parish, Makati at San Felipe Neri Parish sa Archdiocese of Manila bago ang muling pagbalik ng relikya sa Diocese of Assisi sa Italy sa December 15 kung saan nakalagak ang mga labi ni Saint Carlo Acutis.
