“With hearts heavy yet steadfast in faith, we extend our deepest condolences and prayers to all affected by the devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar and Thailand. This tragedy has shaken lives, homes, and communities, and our hearts go out especially to our fellow Filipinos who may be facing fear, loss, and uncertainty far from their homeland,” pahayag ni Bishop Santos mula sa panayam ng Radyo Veritas.
“As we come together in prayer and solidarity, may our collective love and compassion bring hope and healing to all affected by this tragedy. Let us not falter in extending the grace of God through our actions, and continue to uphold them in our prayers,” hiling ni Bishop Santos.
Prayer for Earthquake Victims
O merciful and loving God, we come before You with hearts grieving for the lives and communities shattered by this earthquake.
Hold close all those who are suffering—the wounded, the grieving, the displaced—and bring healing to their pain.
Grant wisdom and strength to those who are working tirelessly to rescue, rebuild, and restore. Guide our hearts, Lord, to extend compassion and generosity to our brothers and sisters in Myanmar, Thailand, and our fellow Filipinos.
May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, fill their hearts amidst the chaos. And may Your love bind us together as one family in faith, reaching out in care and support.
We entrust them to Your divine mercy, O Lord, In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
