Radio Veritas 846 invited all the presidential, vice presidential and senatorial candidates to participate in the Eucharistic Celebration presided by Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, and to sign the Covenant for Truthful, Responsible, Upright, Transparent, and Honest (TRUTH) elections yesterday, May 2, 2016, 9:00 A.M. at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Intramuros, Manila.
The event aimed to give all the candidates a spiritual preparation for the forthcoming elections, and was intended to be nonpartisan, with all the national candidates irrespective of political affiliations sent with invitations as early as February 17, 2016. Radio Veritas was informed by some of the candidates that they will be unable to attend because of prior commitments and previously scheduled campaign sorties in the provinces.
Candidates who are willing but have yet to sign the TRUTH COVENANT are still invited and encouraged to sign the covenant currently deposited at the Radio Veritas studios at 162 West Avenue cor EDSA, Quezon City.
