Radio Veritas 846 the leading faith-based am station in the Philippines, recently recognized participating schools and students in the seventh season of their youth-oriented program, Campus Hour.
Centro Escolar University Malolos was hailed as the Best Campus Hour School and got two other awards including Best Counseling Program Segment and Best Male Anchor for their student, Joshua Pangan while the Universidad de Manila bagged the ‘Veritas Truth Award’.

Audience Choice Award: Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba
Best Program Theme Song: Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
Best Radio Promotional Campaign: Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa
Best Audio Production: St. Paul University Manila
Best Female Anchor: Marjolica Domingo (Polytechnic University of the Philippines)
Best Production Team: Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa
Best Radio Drama: Far Eastern University
Social Media Savvy Award: Polytechnic University of the Philippines
In a simple awarding ceremony held at the St. Paul University Manila last Saturday, May 20, 2017, all the current participating schools have renewed their contract for the brand new season of Campus Hour. They will be joined by the Bulacan State University for the season eight of the program slated to begin in July this year.
During the Awarding Ceremony, Radio Veritas Vice President for Operations Rev. Fr. Roy Bellen encouraged the youth to use the media in bringing the Good News to people.
“Sa mga mahal naming kabataan, mga mag-aaral sa iba’t – ibang mag-aaral sa Maynila at sa buong Pilipinas, kayo pong lahat ay iniinspire namin to tell the “Good News”. Medyo pagod na po ang mundo sa bad news,” Fr. Bellen said.
Campus Hour airs every Saturday from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at Radio Veritas 846 and is streamed live at www.veritas846.ph. Campus Hour is a youth-oriented weekly program that features content solely produced by college students from various higher learning institutions from Metro Manila and nearby areas. Each participating school is given four consecutive episodes every season.
The youth-oriented program aims to provide communication students the opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity and take part in the evangelization program of Radio Veritas through nationwide radio broadcast and global outreach through the internet.
Radio Veritas 846 is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Manila. Established in 1969, the Ramon Magsaysay recipient Catholic radio station continues to be the leading social communications ministry for truth and evangelization in the country today.
