Radio Veritas will give special treat to its kapanalig listeners as part of the stations’ countdown to 48 years of spreading the truth and new evangelization through media.
Dubbed as “48 days On Air Promo, tungo sa 48th Anniversary ng Veritas 846”, the station will air one question per day starting February 27, 2017, 48 days before its anniversary until April 15, 2017.
To join, just text the answer with the Name and Address of the sender and send it to 0918-837-4827. The first listener to answer the question of the day correctly will win special gifts from the station. The daily winner will be announced through Facebook at veritas846.ph. Winners may claim their prizes on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the SM City North EDSA Skydome.

It was on April 11, 1969 thatHis Eminence Manila Archbishop Rufino Cardinal Santos, D.D., with the presence of Antonio Cardinal Samore, inaugurated the studios of Radio Veritas formerly located in Fairview, Quezon City.
In 1986, it was through Radio Veritas where His Eminence Manila Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin made the call to the people to converge in EDSA to prevent the bloodshed, and ushered in the four-day bloodless revolution known as EDSA 1 People Power Revolution.
That same year, Radio Veritas received the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Journalism, Literature, and Creative Communication Arts. The Ramon Magsaysay Award Board of Trustees recognized Radio Veritas’ crucial role in using the truth to depose an oppressive and corrupt regime and restore the Filipino faith in the electoral process.
