Nanawagan ang National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) sa Kongreso na ipasa ang mga isinusulong na batas na mahalaga sa pagpapaunlad ng ekonomiya.
Tinukoy ng N-E-D-A ang Open Access in Data Transmission Act o Senate Bill No.2146 at pagkakaroon ng Department of Water Resources.
Ayon kay NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, sa tulong ng dalawang panukala ay makakamit ng mga economic manager ang Economic Development Goals ng administrasyong Marcos Jr.
“It has been one year since the launch of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028. While we saw some of our headline indicators improve, much remains to be done. To ensure that we remain on track to meet our goals by 2028, and in anticipation of future challenges and scenarios, we must pass key legislative measures aimed at strengthening the country’s economic governance and addressing the structural weaknesses of our production sectors,” ayon sa mensahe ni Balisacan na ipinadala ng NEDA sa Radio Veritas.
Nilinaw ni Balisacan na ang pagkakaroon ng D-M-W ay makakatulong sa pangangasiwa ng pamahalaan sa lahat ng mapagkukunan ng malinis na tubig para sa mga mamamayan.
Inihayag ng kalihim na sa tulong ng Open Access in Data Transmission Act ay higit na mapapalago ang e-commerce industry, pagpapatibay ng digital education at health sector.
“Sa NEDA, sentro ang tao sa plano (At NEDA, our plans are people-centered). The passage of the NEDA Bill will allow us to better leverage our expertise in people-centered development planning across all national and local sectors and ensure that all Filipinos feel the benefits of such exercises,” bahagi pa ng mensahe ni Balisacan.
Kaugnay nito, nakasaad naman sa katuruang panlipunan ng simbahan na hindi masama ang pagsusulong ng pag-unlad higit na kung isasama ang kapakanan ng mga pinakamahihirap.
