Itinalaga ng pamunuang panlalawigan ng North Cotabato ang Diocesan Social Action Center (DSAC) ng Diocese of Kidapawan na manguna sa pamamahagi ng calamity assistance sa mga magsasakang apektado ng tag-tuyot.
Nilinaw naman ni Rev. Fr. Pol Paraksa, DSAC director ng Kidapawan, na hindi ginagamit ng gobernador ng Kidapawan ang Simbahan kundi nagiging intrumento lamang ang Diyosesis para mapayapang maipa – abot ang tulong sa mga magsasaka.
“We are also working with the province because we have a prior agreement with the provincial governor that the diocese through social action program will help facilitate the release of the calamity assistance to them badly hit families. Meron na kaming initial gathered na mga number of families that after this I will be going to the province to meet with the secretary of the governor to discuss what is the process of releasing the assistance,” giit pa ni Fr. Paraksa sa Radyo Veritas
Mabibiyayaan naman naman ng 18 sako ng bigas ang 15 parokya sa Kidapawan mula sa 200 donasyon na bigas mula sa Caritas Manila.
“I am presently tasked by the diocese to facilitate the distribution of the rice and the goods that are coming from our kind donors especially yung mga donations na rice from Caritas. At kanina sa clergy meeting napag – isahan namin na yung 200 bags of rice coming from donations will be prolated sa parokya and we are expecting na ang taga – parokya will receive 18 bags of rice. Tapos nasa parish priest nalang at mga coordinators nila ang paraan kung paano nila ma – distribute. We have identified our beneficiaries we have conducted the data profiling ng mga families who are really badly hit by the calamity. Sila yung unang magiging recipient ng mga donation,” pahayag ni Fr. Paraksa sa panayam ng Veritas Patrol
