The Veritas Facebook page will air the hour-long online prayer meeting led by Bp. Pabillo with the theme “Care for Creation”. Veritas846.ph Facebook followers may click on the live video and participate in prayers and activities online.
An online prayer meeting is a gathering within an internet platform such as a website or social media page that aims to connect with one another and unite various prayer intentions.
The Veritas Online Prayer Meeting is aired monthly led by bishops as part of the initiatives of Radio Veritas of expanding the Church in multimedia and reach a nationwide audience as the Catholic Church prepares for the celebration of the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines.
The first Online Prayer Meeting was launched last July 27, 2017 with the theme “Peace in Our Country, Peace in Our Homes, Our Relationships and Ourselves”. The online broadcast was also led by Bp. Pabillo and joined live by more than 13,000 Facebook subscribers.
Radio Veritas President Rev Fr. Anton CT Pascual encourages the public to support the event’s purpose to unite and promote peace.
“As we are once again graced by Bp. Pabillo in this endeavor through the internet, we are called to protect each other and our only home, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation. Our duties towards the environment are linked towards the poor, towards future generations and towards humanity as a whole. Let us all use social media to unite our prayer intentions to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor,” Fr. Pascual said.
