Ipinapanalangin ni Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos ang kaligtasan ng lahat mula sa panganib ng sunog bilang paggunita ngayong Marso sa Fire Prevention Month.
Hinihiling ni Bishop Santos na nawa’y pigilan ng Diyos ang pagkalat ng apoy upang maiwasan ang anumang panganib, hindi lamang sa mga tahanan, ari-arian at tao, maging sa kapaligiran at mga hayop.
Ipinagdarasal din ng obispo ang kaligtasan at katatagan ng mga bumbero at emergency responders na walang pagod na nagsasakripisyo upang sagipin ang buhay ng iba at tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng lahat mula sa panganib.
Hinikayat ni Bishop Santos ang lahat na magtiwala sa mapagkalingang presensya ng Panginoon upang madama ang kapanatagan at pag-asa sa gitna ng panganib at pagsubok.
PRAYER FOR PROTECTION AGAINST FIRE
O Almighty God, You are our refuge and strength,
We come before you with a plea for Your divine protection against the threat of fire. We ask for Your merciful intervention, so that no one may perish. Keep the flames under control to minimize damage to homes, buildings, and all other properties.
Shield us with Your powerful hand and place a barrier between us and the destructive force of fire. Grant safety to all who are in the path of danger, and provide strength and courage to the firefighters and emergency responders who work tirelessly to protect us.
In the midst of uncertainty, be our comfort and guide. Surround us with Your presence, and let us find comfort in Your unwavering love.
We trust in Your power and Your grace, knowing that You are ever-watchful and ever-faithful. May Your protection be our shield and Your strength our support.
We ask all these in the most precious name of your Son, Jesus, we pray, Amen.

Sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., idineklara ang Marso bilang Fire Prevention Month dahil sa nakababahalang pagtaas ng mga insidente ng sunog sa buong bansa sa panahong ito.
Layunin din ng paggunita na paigtingin ang kamalayan ng publiko sa pag-iwas sa sunog at palakasin ang mga hakbang para sa kaligtasan.
Batay sa pinakahuling tala ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), umabot na sa mahigit 2,400 ang naitalang insidente ng sunog sa buong bansa mula Enero hanggang Marso—mas mababa ng 40 porsyento kumpara sa mahigit 4,300 kaso sa kaparehong panahon noong 2024.
