Pagkilala at pagpapahalaga sa TRUTH covenant ng Radio Veritas at Simbahang Katolika.

Ito ang saloobin nina Presidential candidate Senador Grace Poe, Vice-presidential aspirant Francis “Chiz” Escudero at Senatorial candidates na sina Joel Villanueva, Dante Liban at Neri Colmenares matapos personal na pumunta at lumagda sa Truthful, Responsible, Upright, Transparent & Honest (T.R.U.T.H.) elections 2016 covenant sa Veritas chapel, West Avenue, corner Edsa, Quezon City ngayong ika-4 ng Mayo, 2016.para sa ika-9 ng Mayo, 2016.

Personal namang humingi ng paumanhin si Poe sa pamunuan ng Radio Veritas at Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle nang hindi makadalo sa isinagawang signing ng TRUTH covenant matapos ang banal na misa na pinangunahan ng kanyang Kabunyian sa Manila Cathedral noong ika-2 ng Mayo, taong kasalukuyan.

Ayon kay Poe, personal din siyang sumulat kay Cardinal Tagle para humingi ng paumanhin matapos niyang ma-miss ang napakahalagang event signing na paalala sa mga kandidato para magkaroon ng tapat at mapayapang halalan sa ika-9 ng Mayo.

Iginiit ni Poe na bagama’t may mga batuhan ng putik sa pagitan ng mga kandidato ay mahalaga ang ginagawa ng Simbahan para tuwinang bigyang paalala ang mga tumatakbo sa halalan.

Humabol sa paglagda sa kasunduan ang mga Senatoriables na sina Joel Villanueva, Neri Colmenares, Dante Liban gayundin si Vice-presidential candidate Senator Francis Escudero.

Si Presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte ay nakikipag-ugnayan din sa Radio Veritas sa kahandaang pumirma sa TRUTH covenant.

Lunes ika-2 ng Mayo nang isinagawa ang misa at paglagda ng mga kandidato sa TRUTH covenant.

T.R.U.T.H. COVENANT

We, as leaders of this country, pledge to support and promote the right of every Filipino to vote;

We pledge to advocate Truthful, Responsible, Upright, Transparent & Honest (T.R.U.T.H.) Elections in these 2016 Synchronized National & Local Polls.

We pledge to support campaigns that aim to motivate the Filipino people take responsibility for the country by participating in the polls. We also exert great effort and exhaust all means to encourage every Filipino to responsibly exercise their right to suffrage;

We pledge to avoid resorting to the politics of personalities and patronage, to refrain from using guns, goons and gold;

We pledge to strongly admonish our relatives, friends, followers and supporters to desist from using violence, deceit, fraud and other unfair and dishonest practices.

We will uphold the credibility and the integrity of the remaining campaign period and election process and the dignity of the Filipino people;

We will uphold the constitution and support T.R.U.T.H. (Truthful, Responsible, Upright, Transparent & Honest) Elections on May 9, 2016;

We will remember always that we are God’s steward on earth and must therefore promote at all times a safe, clean and wholesome environment and an unequivocal respect and reverence for life;

We commit ourselves to this covenant signed on this 2nd Day of May in the Year of our Lord 2016 at Manila Cathedral, Intramuros, Manila.

Lumagda sa TRUTH covenant sa Manila Cathedral sina Vice President Jejomar Binay at dating DILG Secretary Manuel Roxas kasama 16-na senatorial candidates na kinabibilangan nina Vicente Sotto III, Martin Romualdez, Isko Moreno, Roman Romulo, Leila De Lima, Princess Jacel Kiram, Eid Kabalu, Riza Hontiveros at Francis Tolentino.
