Binigyang diin ng opisyal ng World Apostolate of Fatima International na ang mensaheng inihabilin ng Mahal na Ina sa tatlong bata sa Fatima Portugal ay para hikayatin ang simbahang magtulungang lumago sa landas ni Hesus.

Sa ginanap na Joint Convention ng World Apostolate of Fatima at Youth Apostolate of Fatima Philippines, sinabi ni WAF International Vice President Reynald Andales na bilang pakikiisa sa kristiyanong pamayanan ay dapat pangalagaan at pahalagahan ang kapakanan ng simbahan.

“The aim of the message of the Fatima is for the Church to grow in faith, hope, and love. The Church is our responsibility. We must at all times not speak bad about the Church,” ani Andales.

Pinagnilayan sa pagtitipon ang temang ‘The Role of WAF and YAF in Synodality, in the Life and Mission of the Church’.

Ipinaalala ni Cebu Auxiliary Bishop Ruben Labajo na ang sama-samang paglalakbay ay nagmumula sa pakikinig lalo na sa pangangailangan ng kapwa.

“The culture of encounter always begins with a listening encounter. If you want to be heard, you must also learn to listen. From our woundedness, we learn to listen and share; we learn to become companions that walk together,” saad ni Bishop Labajo

Ginanap ang national convention sa Cebu City noong May 19 hanggang 21 na dinaluhan ng mga deboto ng Mahal na Birhen ng Fatima mula sa iba’t ibang diyosesis sa bansa.

Nakiisa rin sa pagdiriwang si Digos Bishop Guillermo Afable ang National Spiritual Director ng WAF Philippines, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, Bishop Midyphil Billones habang pinangunahan ni Iba Bishop Bartolome Santos ang closing mass na ginanap sa Capelinha de Fatima Replica sa San Remigio Cebu.
