Pinuri ng isang opisyal ng Vatican ang inisyatibo ng The Order of the Ministers of the Infirm (Camillians)-Philippine Province at Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Health Care sa paglulunsad ng St. Camillus Center for Humanization in Health sa gitna ng panahon ng pandemya.
Sa mensahe ni Cardinal Peter Turkson – Prefect of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development na ibinahagi ni Diocese of Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon sa online launching ay nagpahayag ng pakilala ang opisyal sa aktibong pagtugon sa panawagan ni Pope Francis na isulong ang “culture of humanization” sa usaping pangkalusugan lalo na ngayong panahon ng pandemya.
“I am pleased to note that today the launching St. Camillus Center for Humanization in Health comes as an awaited response to the call of the Holy Father, it is a clear manifestation of your readiness to embrace this responsibility of promoting the culture of humanization. I commend you for this timely and noble venture.” mensahe ni Cardinal Peter Turkson.
Ayon kay Cardinal Turkson, mahalaga ang makataong pagtugon lalo na sa health care system kung saan mas lantad sa iba’t ibang kahinaan at pagdurusa ang mga may karamdaman. Ipinaliwanag ni Cardinal Turkson na nangangailangan ng kabutihan, pagmamahal at tunay na pag-aaruga ang mga dumaraan sa iba’t ibang pagsubok at karamdaman.
“The need to humanize is currently manifest in many sectors of life both private and professional, however health care is probably the sector where the need is most felt, since suffering and vulnerability are almost entrinsic to disease process. Humanization on health care would be define as state of well-being involving affection, dedication, respect for the other that is to consider the person as a complete and complex being.“ Dagdag pa ni Cardinal Turkson.
Pagbabahagi ni Cardinal Turkson bagamat hindi madali ang pagpapasimula at pagpapaigting ng mas makataong pagtugon sa health care system sa bansa ay isa naman itong kapuri-puring hakbang at ganap na pagpapamalas ng misyon ng Simbahan na isulong ang ‘humanized care’ para sa kapwa na una ng naisabuhay ni St. Camillus na siyang patron ng kongregasyon.
“Today as Camillians of Philippine Province you are taking up a challenge in partnership with the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Health Care a challenge to swim against the tide in order to continue rendering the charism and passion of St. Camillus in living example in the mission of the church to the sick while promoting humanized care through this St. Camillus Center for Humanization in Health.” Ayon pa kay Cardinal Turkson.
Pinayuhan naman ng opisyal ng Roman Curia ang lahat ng mga bumubuo sa inilunsad na St. Camillus Center for Humanization in Health na higit pang ibahagi ang kanilang puso at pagmamahal sa pagsisilbi at pagtulong sa na pinakamataas na pamantayan ng pagkalinga ng mga Kristiyano para sa kanyang kapwa.
“I could not have a better recommendation for you today and so please more heart in your hands, more love in your actions for love is the highest standard of care for Christians.” Payo ni Cardinal Turkson.
Ang Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development ay isang bagong dicastery ng Roman Curia na binuo ng Kanyang Kabanalan Francisco upang pangasiwaan ang mga usaping may kaugnayan sa mga migrante, mga may karamdaman, mga marginalized, mga bilanggo, at mga walang trabaho gayundin ang mga biktima ng kaguluhan at mga kalamidad sa iba’t ibang bansa.
