Nakikipagtulungan ang National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) sa United States Agency for International Development o USAID upang higit na maging epektibo ang paggamit ng Artificial Intelligence sa pamamagitan ng Information Communication Technology (ICT).
Katuwang ang Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), idinaos ang learning session hinggil sa Artificial Intelligence (AI) at wastong paggamit nito tungo sa pagpapaunlad ng lipunan.
Tiwala si PCC Executive Director Kenneth Tanate na sa pamamagitan ng inisyatibo ay magkaroon ng kamalayan ang mamamayan hinggil sa mga wastong paggamit ng AI upang maiwasan ang paglala ng mga negatibong epekto nito sa lipunan.
““Through these sessions, it is my hope that we can weigh the innovative promises of AI while also considering ethical and legal implications these might have on our society. Through careful study and assessment, I believe we can harness the benefits of AI in industries that need such innovation the most, while also tempering whatever unintended negative consequences might come with it,” ayon sa mensahe ni Tanate na ipinadala ng NEDA sa Radio Veritas.
Iginiit naman ni NEDA Undersecretary Krystal Uy na sa tulong ng wastong paggamit sa AI ay higit na mapadali ang trabaho at matutulungan nito ang mga manggagawa tungo sa pag-unlad.
““It’s imperative to recognize the critical role of ICT policies in enabling the potential of AI and its transformative impact on our work… In our efforts to bridge the digital gap, policies like the Konektadong Pinoy Bill (formerly known as the Open Access in Data Transmission bill) and reforms in spectrum management are crucial. By advocating for these reforms, we aim to ensure that every community, regardless of their location or economic background, can access dependable and high-speed internet services, and take advantage of opportunities enabled by the internet, such as AI,” ayon naman sa mensahe ni Uy.
Unang nanawagan ang Kaniyang Kabanalang Francisco sa mga lider ng buong mundo na magkaroon ng mga inisyatibong nakatuon sa pagpapaunlad ng paggamit sa AI para sa kapakanan ng lahat.
