Pinagtibay ng Diocese of Legazpi ang sacred tradition na pagluhod tuwing Consecration hanggang sa pagtatapos ng doxology.
Sa liham sirkular ni Bishop Joel Baylon binigyang diin ang patuloy na pagninilay ng mga pastol ng simbahan para sa liturgical practices lalo na sa pagbibigay galang sa Banal na Eukaristiya.
Iginiit ng obispo na ang bahagi ng consecration at Eucharistic Prayer ang pinakatampok sa buong pagdiriwang ng Misa kaya’t mahalagang ipakita ang buong paggalang sa presensya ng Panginoon.
“This decision reaffirms the practice of kneeling after the Consecration until after the concluding doxology or Great Amen. This directive, effective immediately, serves to deepen our collective reverence for the real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and aligns with the guidelines set forth by the CBCP and the General Instructions of the Roman Missal (GIRM),” bahagi ng liham sirkular ni Bishop Baylon.
Matatandaang sa ika – 127 plenary assembly ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines nitong Enero ay muling tinalakay at napagkasunduan ang tamang postura sa mahalagang bahagi ng Misa.
Sinabi ni Bishop Baylon na ito ay pagpapatibay lamang sa tradisyon ng simbahan na pagluhod sa consecration hanggang matapos ang doxology batay sa isinasaad ng GIRM.
Inatasan ng obispo ang mga pari at katekista na magsagawa ng katesismo upang higit na maunawaan ng mananampalataya ang direktiba lalo na ang pagbibigay ng theological background at kasaysayan ng pagluhod sa buong Eucharistic Prayer.
“To ensure that this transition is embraced by all with understanding and grace, may we ask our priests and catechists to kindly dedicate time throughout the entire month of March 2024 for teaching and explaining this directive to the faithful,” ani Bishop Baylon.
