Sa harap ng isang makasaysayang yugto para sa Simbahang Katolika, nanawagan si Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Cruz Santos para sa pagkakaisa sa panalangin para sa nalalapit na pagsisimula ang Papal Conclave na itinakda sa May 7, kung saan magtitipon ang College of Cardinals upang pumili ng bagong kahalili ni San Pedro.
Sa mensahe, hinikayat ni Bishop Santos ang mga mananampalataya na magdasal para sa mga Kardinal sa kanilang mahalagang tungkulin.
“In this time of discernment, we lift our prayers in unity, asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit upon those entrusted with this solemn responsibility,” ayon sa mensaheng ipinadala ni Bishop Santos sa Radyo Veritas.
Binigyang-diin ng Obispo ang bigat ng hamon at biyayang kaakibat ng magiging pamumuno ng bagong Santo Papa, na haharap sa isang mundo at Simbahang kapwa humaharap sa mga pagsubok at tagumpay.
“Our world is at a crossroads, and so is our beloved Church—navigating challenges in some places, while growing strongly in others,” ayon pa sa Obispo.
“The next Pope will inherit both difficulties and blessings, tasked with leading the faithful with wisdom, courage, and unwavering trust in God’s providence.”
Sa gitna ng paghahanda para sa conclave, nanawagan si Bishop Santos para sa panalangin para sa mga Kardinal.
“As the conclave unfolds, let us pray for the Cardinals, that they may be moved by the Spirit in their deliberations and choose a shepherd who will inspire, unite, and guide the Church with love and humility,” ayon pa kay Bishop Santos. “May their hearts remain open to God’s will, and may their decision bring forth a leader who will embrace the mission of evangelization with renewed strength.”
Hinikayat din niya ang lahat ng mananampalataya na paghandaan ang pagdating ng bagong Santo Papa.
“Let us also prepare our own hearts for this new chapter in the Church’s journey, trusting that God’s hand is at work, and that through His divine plan, we will welcome a Pope who will lead us in faith, hope, and service.”
Piinangunahan ni Bishop Santos ang taimtim na panalangin para sa buong Simbahan:
“Holy Spirit, enlighten those who will cast their votes. May Your wisdom shine upon them, and may Your grace anoint the one who will take on the mantle of Peter. With faith and trust in God’s will, we await the dawn of a new chapter for our Church.
