Inilunsad ng San Antonio Abad Parish sa Maybunga sa Diyosesis ng Pasig sa pangunguna ng Kura Paroko na si Rev. Fr. Loreto “Jhun” Sanchez Jr. ang “Pantawid Gutom Program” na naglalayong tumulong sa mga mahihirap at mahihinang mamamamayan ng kanilang parokya.
Sa mensahe ni Fr. Jhun Sanchez sa Radyo Veritas, sinabi nito na layunin ng programa na mapanatili ang nutrisyon ng mga bata at matanda sa parokya lalo na ngayong patuloy na kumakalat ang corona virus disease sa bansa.
“The Parish of San Antonio Abad in Maybunga Pasig has launched Pantawid Gutom Program to the most vulnerable sector of the parish community, the poorest among the poor. The project aims to sustain nutrition to children under the parish feeding program as well as to sustain the health of the poor who are now surviving out of charity.“ pahayag ni Fr. Jhun Sanchez
Kabilang sa mga benepisyaryo ng naturang programa ang mga vendors, tricycle drivers, at mga street sweepers na umaasa na lamang ngayon sa tulong mula sa simbahan at sa LGU.
“The project aims to sustain nutrition to children under the parish feeding program as well as to sustain the health of the poor who are now surviving out of charity. The beneficiaries of the said programs are street sweepers, tricycle drivers, vendors who are simply dependent of a day-to-day earnings. Sinabi ng Pari na sa simpleng pagtulong lang ito upang maibsan ang ang kondisyon ng mga mamamayan habang naghihintay ng tulong mula sa LGU.
